Child Protection & Safeguarding
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all our staff are clear about the actions necessary with regard to safeguarding and child protection.
Accessibility Policy
Schools are required under the Equality Act 2010 to have an accessibility plan.
The purpose of the plan is to is to increase the extent to which disabled pupils can participate in the curriculum.
The staff and governors at Eaton Bray Academy believe that to enable every child to achieve his/her potential, it is essential that the curriculum, both formal and informal, is accessible for all pupils.
The school supports the view which “recognises the importance of improving the physical environment of the school to increase the extent to which disabled pupils can take advantage of education and associated services

Admissions 2025
30 children in each academic year in the main School. We will admit children full-time in the autumn term following their fourth birthday. Statutory education commences in the term following their fifth birthday.

Anti Bullying Policy
This policy is based on DfE guidance “Preventing and Tackling Bullying” July 2017 and supporting documents. It also considers the DfE statutory guidance “Keeping Children Safe in Education” 2018 and ‘Sexual violence and sexual harassment between children in schools and colleges’ guidance.
Child On Child Policy
Eaton Bray Academy recognises that children are vulnerable to, and capable of, abusing their peers. We take such abuse as seriously as abuse perpetrated by an adult. This includes verbal abuse as well as physical and sexual abuse. Child-on-child abuse will not be tolerated or passed off as part of “banter” or part of “growing up”.
Attendance Policy
The staff and governors of Eaton Bray Academy firmly believe in regular attendance and encourage all children to attend school on time and every day when the school is in session, as long as they are well. We believe that regular attendance is vital for effective learning to take place.
Relationships and Behaviour Policy
We are committed to the fostering of good social attitudes and the development and maintenance of good manners and friendly relations between all pupils and staff. We believe that this is a fundamental element of being a happy and successful school, alongside a sense of collective responsibility and a feeling of commitment on the part of staff, pupils, parents and governors
Charging and Remissions
Eaton Bray Academy provides education for free during school hours, for children aged between 4 and 11, and for up to thirty hours per week for qualifying children of pre-school age. In addition to this, other services are provided that need to be paid for directly by parents/guardians.
Children with health needs who cannot attend school
Suitable education is arranged for pupils on roll who cannot attend school due to health needs. Pupils, staff and parents understand what the school is responsible for when this education is being provided by the local authority.
Complaints
It is the aim of the School to deal with any concerns or complaints quickly and, as far as possible, satisfactorily.
Disability Equality
This scheme and the accompanying action plans set out how the governing body promotes equality of opportunity for disabled people.
Early Years Foundation Stage Policy (EYFS)
This policy aims to ensure that children access a broad and balanced curriculum that gives them the broad range of knowledge and skills needed for good progress through school and life.
Equality Duty
This document is to help us focus on the outcomes that matter to the people who use our school and its services and our local community; and to ensure that our services are accessible and delivered effectively.
SEND Policy and Report
Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) Policy and Report The Code of Practice gives practical guidance to schools on how to implement their statutory responsibilities in relation to children with SEND.
Exclusion Policy
Our school aims to ensure that the exclusions process is applied fairly and consistently; is understood by governors, staff, parents and pupils. This policy is based on statutory guidance from the Department for Education.
Gifts and Hospitality
Members of staff or governors should never lead anyone to question your interests, or lead anyone to think that you have been influenced by gifts and hospitality. Guidance applies to all staff and governors on gifts and hospitality.
Governors' Allowance Policy
The governing board has decided to pay reasonable allowances from the school’s delegated budget to cover any costs that board members incur through carrying out their duties. This policy sets out the terms on which such allowances will be paid.
Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
Through PSHE we encourage children to become independent, confident, healthy and responsible members of society, as well as developing the ‘whole child’ intellectually, morally, socially and spiritually.
Social Media Policy
All members of the school should bear in mind that information they share through social networking applications, even if they are on private spaces, may be subject to copyright, safeguarding and data protection legislation. The school expects parents/carers to help us model safe, responsible and appropriate social media use for our pupils.
Supporting children with medical conditions
Policy aims to ensure that: Pupils, staff and parents understand how our school will support pupils with medical conditions. Pupils with medical conditions are properly supported to allow them to access the same education as other pupils, including school trips and sporting activities.
Uniform Policy
Eaton Bray Academy is an inclusive school that welcomes all individuals. In line with this our uniform policy is inclusive and promotes equality for all.
Whistle Blowing Policy
Eaton Bray Academy is committed to the highest possible standards of openness, probity and accountability. In line with that commitment we expect employees and others that we deal with who have serious concerns about any aspect of the School’s work to come forward and voice those concerns. It is recognised that most cases will have to proceed on a confidential basis.

Communication Policy
At Eaton Bray Academy we believe that relationships between school and families are essential for children’s progress and learning. We also believe that each party plays a vital role in supporting each other throughout a child's school journey
Remote Learning Policy
Ensure consistency in the approach to remote learning for pupils who aren’t in school
Set out expectations for all members of the school community with regards to remote learning
Provide appropriate guidelines for data protection
All pupils should attend school, in line with our attendance policy. Remote education is not viewed as an equal alternative to attendance in school. The school will consider providing pupils with remote education on a case-by-case basis.
