I have been a Parent Governor on the Eaton Bray Academy School Board since September 2010 and have two children currently attending the school.
I am Chair of the Estates Committee, sit on the Personnel Committee and have Religious Education and Music curriculum responsibilities.
Unlike living in the city, where institutions abound, village life requires local people to get involved in the community. As schools encompass nearly everyone in their vicinity, being involved puts you at the heart of the village and as such facilitates building strong relationships with a wide range of people, bodies and organisations.
Lending a hand at such a good school as EBA gives me the chance to be a part of something wonderful and inspiring.
